Kezia Allen
Secretary British Horse Foundation
Kezia is a research scientist working in a busy NHS teaching hospital. Whilst working in human medicine, she has maintained a strong interest in all things equestrian following her undergraduate degree in Equine Science at Writtle College. Being a keen equestrian, a rider, owner and breeder, Kezia has kept abreast of new research in equine husbandry. Particularly research that is aimed at the average horse owner. She feels strongly about horse owners being sold ‘scientifically proven’ goods, with claims that have little or no basis in science. Having bred her first foal in 2020, this opened up a new sphere of the equestrian industry. Kezia is thrilled to have the opportunity to take an active part in promoting and advancing the strategy of the British Horse Foundation.
